Our music video on Facebook

These screen-shots are just of our music video on Facebook, I uploaded it on my Facebook account for the group. As you can see it is an easy way of communicating with our audiences as this link then leads to a hyperlink of our music video on YouTube. I put it on Facebook as I wanted my friends who are seen as our fellow peers to comment on it, also because I know a lot of my friends like alternative music so I wanted their advice on how our music video hits those codes and conventions of an alternative music video. We did get a good supply of feedback from Facebook and this shall be uploaded as soon as possible and edited in to my final evaluation.

Our music video on Twitter

This is my Twitter page, and at the top is my latest tweet that I have sent to Bjork, I sent her a link to our music video on Yotube and I asked her if she could retweet it to her fans. This would mean even more coverage of our music video and hopefully even more feedback. Even if she doesn't tweet it my followers will see it and give us more views hopefully.

This is my comment to Bjork I do hope that she retweets it, I was polite and tried to give her enough information within the word limit of Twitter about our music video.

Screen shots of music video responses

This is what my music video looks like once I had posted it on my wall on Facebook for my group for audiences to see. We have only had a few likes so far, but I have been messaging people for them to go on YouTube to watch it and I have already got a lot of comments and I have screen-shot them to comment on, to show elements of their comments that we are proud of and have tried to change and work on.

This was a comment from my friend who has his own rather successful YouTube account he commented this on my YouTube page about our music video. I took this as very good constructive criticisms, as they're are plenty of compliments on strong elements of our music video such as our use of stop motion, this to me makes it even stronger the fact that it is every ones favourite element. Yet I accept the criticisms on the skirting boards they're some shots I agree that I could of cropped far more in the editing process, such as the paper man scenes, as you can see the carpet, in Molly's final dancing scene in particular you can see a mat and I think a bit of a door, I would of liked to of changed that a bit it I was to run through the music video with a fine tooth comb. I am most proud that in this comment he noticed that the serene and loud scenes, I was so careful when placing them in to the time line. So overall I was happy and I agreed with this feedback.

This was from a former student at our school and this is always good when we get feedback from people that have already done this course as they know what to do, as they are able to give really good feedback. Again picking up on the animations, and she picked up on our conscious decision to break up the video with them to keep the audience enticed throughout. I'm glad that she liked our choice of an actress as she does suit the song and acts superbly throughout in my opinion. I am happy that she gave no negative feedback, of course making it myself I'm proud of it however they are many elements I would tweak. However I'm glad she enjoyed it and commented on our choice of filming only on Sunny days.

This was just one comment of many by our friends that just put a one line comment on our music video. This is still good feedback as it's always good to know that people have enjoyed our music video.

This is one of my friends on Facebook who is in my year doing this course at the moment so it is good to look at each others work. She picked up on our editing techniques such as split screens as a refreshing element to our music video. She was the first to comment on our Mise-en-scene via Facebook which was good as this was a main feature of mine working within Cinematography and Mise-en-scene, as I set up and framed and chose props all of scenes perfectly. Again I'm glad she picked up on our change in jump cuts to match the beats of the song. This is again another positive piece of feedback and I'm gad that she picked up on everything we purposely thought out. As it shows that our music video has worked in getting across all of our decisions and messages.

This is another one liner comment from one of our friends, again it's also good to get positive comments from everyone.

This was from my friend who is currently in their final year at university, I found his comment beneficial as he also knows a lot of music videos and how they should be constructed and edited. Again it's good that he liked our main feature the animations, especially that he picked up the changing ratio's between the animation and real video. This is a good constructive criticism and we have consciously tried throughout to keep this from happening.

Photo for poster

This is the final photo that I have edited, I was going to put this photo on to my digipak but due to it being in portrait and not landscape like I needed for my digipak I decided against it. I realised that it would in fact be the best image for my final poster, as it sticks to the requirements by the record label of focusing on my artist so it will be more appealing and recognisable for their fans. All I did was simply change her eye colour a little bit and brighten the whole photo on Photoshop. I really like this image as it shows how she is a fun character, this is shown by the colourful dress and the mask connotes that she is vibrant character that has some mystery to her. This is our artists exact personal that we wanted to present, the fact that she is a loud and confident person however she has a mysterious and quiet side to her. I took this photo myself in Libby's room as she made a white backdrop in her room. I took quite a lot of photos in this photo shoot and the best have made it on to my digipak and poster. All I used were a few masquerade masks, and made Molly wear this dress with big make-up and nice wavy/straight hair to accentuate her two styles. Overall I think in the end once finished this photo will be a brilliant photo representative for our band 'Anima's' album. oo

Almost Finished Final Poster

This is my almost finished digipak, I have to just put small Facebook, Twitter, Rough Trade and Itunes logo's on my poster. Also I have now decided that I want our album to be self-entitled and not called 'It's Oh So Quiet' anymore. I even need to add the website of our band to the bottom of my poster and add a small image of my album cover to my poster, for it to be fully completed.

Almost Final Digipak

This is my final digipak however i just need to add on the bar code, DVD logo a little billing block and the Rough Trade logo. Also I need to finish the spine of my digipak, by putting the logo for our band 'Anima' on there.

Digipak Update

Today I am finishing off the editing for my digipak, the whole week I have been putting the final touches on my photos in photoshop and today I am now ready to drop them all in to place on my digipak template. This is just a brief picture of what the digipak looks like so far, but after today I hope to actually make it on card and I hope to actually make the CD. So here is an update of what it looks like so far:
