Garth Jennings Music Genre:
From the work that i have delved into by Garth Jennings his musical genre that he works under is independent music and alternative rock. I found one surprise artist in particular that he worked with, which was Robbie Williams for his video "Freedom". Robbie Williams falls under the musical genre pop, which is not his priority. As the pop music codes and convention music videos are far different from the independent and alternative rock genre. The pop genre would be far more concerned with dramatic lighting and dance routines and glamorising themselves in their music videos. Garth Jennings has showed tendencies to be able to switch between the three genres as they link very nicely due to them all connoting a light hearted and slightly comical atmosphere to the music videos.
